1.
EMBARKATION REQUIREMENTS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS.
Passengers must be in possession of valid travel documents with visas as required by Italy
and Greece, as well as the necessary documentation for their vehicles. The company accepts
no liability if passengers are refused disembarkation in either country and will require
payment in full for return transportation. Cancellation due to lack of valid travel
documents is not considered ”force majeure”. In addition, valid proof entitling
passengers to reductions must be produced on embarkation, otherwise the company’s
representatives will refuse to accept passengers and/or their vehicles unless the
difference due is paid.
2. TARIFFS.
Passengers and vehicle tariffs are always expressed in local currency and tickets
are issued according to the tariffs and conditions applying in the country where the
ticket is bought. All tariffs are subject to change without notice. In the event of an
increase in the price of fuel or of currency devaluation, the Company reserves the right
to collect a surcharge.
3. MEALS.
Meals are not included in the passage fare. All ships offer “a la carte”
self-service facilities. A reduced price for meals is sometimes foreseen for groups. All
vessels have snack bars, bars and duty free shops on international crossings.
4. CHILDREN’S FARES.
One child under 4 years old: free · Additional children under 4
years old in the same family: 50% of relevant fare each · Over 4 years and under 12 years old: 50% of relevant fare
each · 12 years old and over:
full fare. Children occupying a seat on the Athens - Patras coach service pay full fare.
5. REDUCTIONS (only applicable on Italy- Greece
ferries).
· A discount is offered on bargain
departures in Low and High Season.
· Up to 50% reduction is grated on the return portion
of round trip vehicle tickets and
· 20% reduction
is granted on the return portion of round trip passenger
tickets. The resulting discounted tariffs are shown in the relevant tariff columns. The
round trip discount applies provided that both the outward and return tickets are
purchased at the same time.
REDUCTIONS ARE NOT CUMULATIVE AND CANNOT BE APPLIED RETROACTIVELY.
6. BAGGAGE.
Free transportation without limit. Baggage may be left in the car. All baggage is
transported at owner’s risk.
7. DOGS AND CATS.
Transportation free of charge, providing owners ensure other passengers are not
disturbed and ship cleanliness is maintained. Feeding at owner’s care.
8. COACH CONNECTIONS.
A maximum of 2 normal-sided suitcases totaling 30kg in weight is allowed on the
coach. Excess luggage: drs 100 per kg. Fares and timetables are listed below the passenger
tariff table.
9. OPEN DATE TICKETS.
Open date tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. There is no
guarantee that space will be provided to passengers or vehicles with open date tickets in
July, August or September, as the ships are filled to capacity during this period.
10. TICKETS GONE ASTRAY.
If a passengers loses a ticket ( through theft or mere loss ) immediate advice
must be given to the Head Office of the Company with details of the ticket in question, or
at least the name and address of the issuing office, the names of the passengers recorded
on the ticket, and the date of purchase. A refund will be made only if the ticket is found
not to have been used at year’s end checking, and provided a duplicate ticket was
issued. Duplicate tickets will not be issued without payment.
11. CANCELLATION FEES AND REFUNDS.
Passengers holding tickets with a fixed date of departure and wishing to cancel
them are liable to the following cancellation fees unless the cancellation is due to
“force majeure”.
Cancellations:
· Up to 30 days prior to
departure:
20% of the fare.
· From 30 to 7 days prior to departure:
40% of the fare.
· From 7 days up to the day before departure:
75% of the fare.
· On the days of departure or
failure to travel (no show): 100% of the fare.
Changes in Reservations between the 30th and 7th
day before departure are subject to a charge of 20% of the fare, otherwise the
cancellation fees apply as above.
Refunds: Are made only in the country of the issuing office on condition
that the date of cancellation is confirmed on the ticket with the stamp and signature of a
responsible office (travel agency or port office ).
12. SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
Special conditions are available for groups, trucks, trailers and unaccompanied
vehicles. For details apply to the Company’s Head Office or agents.
13. ITINERARY.
Departures and arrivals are shown in local time and are subject to alteration or
cancellation without notice. Passengers holding tickets with confirmed reservations for
departures which have been cancelled will be transferred to vessels of other companies as
and when available.
The GENERAL CONDITIONS are subject to
alteration without notice.
EMBARKATION INSTRUCTIONS
· Passengers with confirmed
reservations must check in at the HML Embarkation office at least 2 hours
( 3 hours for
groups ) before sailing time.
· Passengers using the HML coach service must be at the Piraeus terminal
30 minutes before departure.
· Non compliance with the above allows the
Company to regard such passengers as “NO SHOWS” and accept other
passengers in their place. |
