Ferries to Greece depart from four different ports, though one of the most important ones is Brindisi, a city in the region of Apulia in southern Italy, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
The distance between the city’s harbor and Brindisi airport also known by the names of Papola Casale Airport or Aeroporto del Salento is approximately 8km.
There are almost daily crossings in the summer months from Brindisi to Igoumenitsa and Corfu with Grimaldi Lines and European Seaways companies. It takes about 9h30m to get to Corfu island and from 8h30m up until 12 hours to arrive to Igoumenitsa port.
As for the Brindisi to Patras connection, there are two weekly departures, every Monday and Saturday. They are operated with the conventional ferries of Grimaldi Lines and reach their destination in 17 hours.
The crossings to both Kefalonia and Zakynthos are operated with the conventional ferries of Red Star company, with one crossing per week more specifically every Tuesday at 18:00.
It takes about 16 hours to each the island of Kefalonia and 20 hours to get to Zakynthos.
Just a little heads up, departures with European Seaways, Red Star as well as the crossings to Corfu of Grimaldi Lines are only operated in the summertime.
